MiniMax ASB mod wheel question

I understand how the mod wheel can be used to modulate the oscillator pitch or the filter. But I find that when both the "Oscillator Modulation" switch and the "Filter Modulation" switch are off, the mod wheel still affects the volume of the sound. I would expect the mod wheel to do nothing when both of these switches are off. Is the mod wheel hard-wired into the "Amplifier" envelope?

Nevermind, I realized the mod wheel on my sequencer was configured incorrectly as an expression controller. Everything is working as expected now.
