hmm, does that mean for each ASB a Klangbox or does it include all instruments in one device? A Noah without LCD and knobs?

who knows?

It sounds rather along the lines of Noah, but more practical....

Will it be 12 voices for each synth in the box? Or 12 voices total?

I think I'd still like to get the knob-versions of the ASBs, though, when I have some money....

Looking good!

There are four Klangboxes, each with the polyphony of the destop version.

Will it be possible to use the ASB as controllers for their respective Klangboxe?

This could be a way to get multitimbral ASBs for not too much... (the list price for the Klangbox is €450).

If they share the same editor, I guess it won't be a problem.

Cheers,

Eric

No problem, as the ASB desktop machines send MIDI-data to control the Klangboxes.

You can also use the controllers of your MIDI-keyboard, an external controller box and/or the editor software, which comes free with the Klangbox. Changes of sound-parameters can be recorded with your sequencer software and be played back in any recording- or live-situation.

There is no official statement yet. I personally think that this would be a great feature.

Oh, I get it...I thought that the Klangbox was one unit with all ASBs integrated. So it's separate boxes...how much cheaper will it be than the desktops?

It looks terrible. Looks like it should be in a ToysRUs Sale!

However, if it is substantially cheaper than the Prodessey ASB I may take a view, as I can hide it somewhere!

Still if I want looks, I suppose that is what the ASB is for!

The retail price for the Prodyssey ASB is € 1.080, for the Klangbox it is € 499. The streetprices could be a little bit lower. If you want your machine without the sticker, we do it for you for an extra charge

OK, it doesn't look like much, but then hardware ARPs were never so cheap.

I'm sure I'll get the desktop version when I get it, though.

The Prodyssey is 12 voice polyphonic, has ARP- and Moog filters, is programmable, has an stereo effects-processor, has MIDI, is never out of tune, is reliable ... sounds and feels like stuff from the 70s.

Without the problem of the knobs, why not a ModularIII+flexor Klangbox?
This could be the end of Clavia Nord Modular G2...
4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.

I'm sorry, I meant the "real" (desktop) version of the ASB, not an original ARP.

Sorry about that...
