Well spoken Astro

However, the product security IS NOT creamware's biggest asset. There large userbase & potentially instant revenue is. For example, if 1000 SFP users DID actually buy the incredibly priced 4.5 upgrade (as we did  I don't mind this, as by all means they deserve the support, but nonetheless, it makes them no different from any other pro-audio manufacturer other than the sheer winning quality of their conceprt.

I won't voice a direct opinion of the ASB's until I've played them

interesting conclusion

but the paragraph (see below) referred to SDK and what can be done with it
this tool makes things possible
...bla...
It IS understandable that CWA protects this (their only) asset by all means...
I mentioned it intentionally in this context because the hiding of DSP code (which is totally unusual for a dev system) is an integral part of the protection as well, and imho an even stronger aspect than the unique serial registration.
But it's the content, not the lock that makes the value.

Btw a large customer base isn't considered an asset - it's what it is - a large amount of people.
They become an 'asset' only when they develope a loyality like (say...) Apple customers - and ...ok, some DSP addicts

cheers, Tom

you sort of confirmed my point astro

Creamware have a large core of loyal customers who essentially DO become an asset when 100,000 euros here or 200,000 euros there, can be squeezed out of them within a short time frame. That's got to be the point when your customers become an asset ... the point where they're not just potential customers, but practically CERTAIN customers.

Hi!

I just noticed that there is a MINIMAX ASB OS version 2.00 available at
ftp://ftp.creamware.de/Software/ASB-Box ... AX/DSP_OS/ .

Check also that you have updated the Minimax remote control software in
ftp://ftp.creamware.de/Software/ASB-Boxes/MINIMAX/ . Current version is 1.0.17.

Updates for Minimax ASB and Pro-12 ASB

Getting even better?? You bet - there is new remote control software and new firmware online for both ASB products. Download from the ASB Web Site under "Minimax - Software" and "Pro-12 - Software"...

Great news!

I'll cure my Minimax ASB directly (although I didn't notice most of the bugs!).

Best,

Eric

Finally, How I register my Pro-12?

Post by edautana »

Hi everyone!

I sent an email to support@creamware.com with my product registration card info; you know the Model, SN and the PD in the white tag. Until today I haven’t received any response from them. Is there any online place in Creamware web site to register my Pro-12.

I also wrote Mr. Bach requiring my security key code to install the new OS in the box, how long usually takes to receive an answer?

Best regards
