Anyone at Creamware want to tell us how much longer before the Profit 5 is out?

It would be a shame to miss the xmas buying season.

Well........there is no profit 5 anymore sorry guys...

Welcome the PRO 12 instead. That would be the new name of the profit 5.

we are hoping that by the end of Nov we will see some Pro 12 shipping to North America.

By X-mas there should be enough units circulating here in the US/Canada

Nice...

what about the scope and Noah devices? Will they also be renamed?

When is the Noah device supposed to be out?

thanks.

Sounds good to me -- I'm only worried that CW will make the same mistake you made with Noah, which was to add on so many improvements that it was too late and you lost your funding. However, now that MiniMax is out, I'm assuming you have some cash flow now.

I'm REALLY glad you upgraded from six voices to twelve -- smart move. Pro 12 sounds nice, better than Profit-5 (which sounded too much like a bank).

With twelve voices I can't help but think how nice it would be if it had multimbral capabilities...sigh.

well i guess u shouldnt be suprised if it is, nprime. if not now, maybe later. a bird whispered this in my ear regarding the minimax, so i guess it should be possible with pro12 as well. not sure tho, but i love rumours.

It probably would only require a firmware upgrade. I'm sure it's possible in the future....

I just CW gets enough dough (pardon my slang) to be able to release updates more regularly.

Shayne,

Since you have the SDK, you should realise, to make a multi-timbral device, you have to use separate MVCs and Poly Mix 16 for each timbre. Then you need separate parameter lists and presets lists for each. It's a bit more work than you might think at first! (I know because of having done this for the Quantum Wave.)

cheers,

I'm looking forward to hearing the new synth but I hope its not released until its finished...I'm not really enjoying being a beta-tester.
I'm still waiting for the bugfix that will make my Minimax ASB useable in poly mode.
Don't get me wrong, I respect Creamware a lot for the excellent job they have done - the sound is phenomenal! I simply want this to work properly

Ok...thanks for the messages offlist - don't worry, I'm not writing off CW. I really do like the Minimax, I just want it fixed
I finally heard back from one of the Ralfs at CW, They think they know what's causing the bug(s) but won't have the manpower to fix the problem until after the current ASB release.

Oh well...
