Installing Plugins

Post by BobTheDog »

Hi Guys,

I have my nice new Noah here and am trying to install EDS8i

I have tried searching around and looking in the printed docs and pdf files without much luck and have got this far:

First I ran:

PluginInstaller.exe C:\System\Noah\Noah\nokeysOXEfiles_for_NOAH_PC\Noah_EDS8i_NoKeys.oxe

Then I started Noah and did a sync, no problems where reported.

In the sync window I can see EDS8i but it is using 0.00kb.

I cannot select it on the noah hardware and If I select it in the Noah app I can see the remote controller ok with nothing displayed on the Noah hardware.

It looks to me that it has not made it onto the unit.

Any help would be really apreciated.

Glad to hear you got your Noah OK Andy :)

IIRC the EDS8i had a different installation procedure to the rest of the plugins. I think there was a readme.txt or something on the old CW site, not sure though. I'll have a look and see if I can find anything.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I had a search on the site and found this:

Problem :

Anleitung Oxe installation, hier am Beispiel EDS8i für Noah:

Fix :

PC:

1. Download the #Noah#EDS8i_NoKeys.oxe on your computer
2. Close all CreamWare-Applications (Noah, SFP, SCOPE 4.0 ...)
3. Doubleclick the oxe-File
4. The "CreamWare-PlugIn Installer" will open
5. Select only the Noah-Application
6. Klick on "Install"
7. Close the "CreamWare-PlugIn Installer"
8. Connect Noah via USB and start the Noah editor software
9. Follow the instructions of the installation prozess
10. At the end of installation the Synchronizer will open automatically
The Synchronizer is needed to copy the Device files into your Noah.
11. Select the grey folder Icon of the EDS8i on the right
12. The Icon becomes yellow and other folders will be shown
13. Make sure that there is enough "Available Memory" left
14. Now press the synchronize button and wait until all the files are written in your Noah-Synthesizer
15. After synchronisation you have to reboot your Noah
16. Have fun with your new Plugin

Step 11 was the one I have been missing, I have now done this and the plugin seems to be installed and using memory. Time for a play now :)

Cheers

Andy
