Cubase Crash Recovery ?

Post by lunaorbit »

When in XTC mode.

Cubase can crash.

Then I have to reboot as i can not refresh the sonic core drivers.
Is there a way to recover from a cubase crash in xtc mode without rebooting the computer?

Thank You

not sure about the Asio part, that's hard to recover without a reboot (once it crashed).
Afaik the only things that reset the DSP card is a change of synch source or samperate.

cheers, Tom

How about launching Scope? That would free/reset any remainders on the cards...

if scope exists in task manager in xtc(cannot test it at the moment) end scope.exe first....
in normal scope mode in order to avoid blue screens or pc restart if a seq crashes i FIRST end scope.exe and then i end the crashed (if still exists in task manager) sequenser. Then i can load again in order..scope 1st...seq 2nd.
