Using STS2000 in XTC Mode easily!

Post by grappa »

I don't know of I am stating something completely obvious here but just in case anyone else out there hasn't spotted this yet if you store all of your sample libraries in the Samples folder within the Scope installation folder you can then load STS2000 into your DAW (after using the dll trick) and then simply right click in one of the multi-slots to load a program. All programs stored in the Samples folder will be listed in the menu. You can also create subfolders in this folder to organise your libraries into something more logical.

I am using Chickensys Translator Free which is available for download on their site and seems to convert my Akai sample libraries fine into Pulsar (.p) files which are then recognised by the STS properly when running in Tracktion.

Hope this is useful to someone :)

I think you can edit the sample path in cset.ini too if you want to store stuff elsewhere than in the application folder.
