Someone running Scope Card with 3 ADAT Ports in XTC Mode ?

Hi there All at Planet Z Community!

I´m confused with my SCOPE XTC Setup. I have a 3 Port ADAT Scope Card
and my Host is Cubase 4. Does someone have an Routing Setup for this SCOPE Card running in XTC Mode and Post it here?

Why is Cubase 4 running in XTC Mode and Wavelab 6 does not?

Yes I did... but I think this way is not so handy because Total Recall of a Project is not easy possible with that. Or is it?

My Host Application is Cubase 4 and I love it to load a Project with Total Recall with all the Settings ( EQ, Softsynths,
Presets) used within. I have found out if I routed ASIO Source -> Destinations this works without any Freezes or
System Craches. Otherwise if I save a plane Page as XTC Project this works for about 6 or 7 minutes and
crashes than with a frozen System. Or I´m complete thinking the wrong way?

Does the STS 5000 Device works as XTC Device ? Or is there a List of Devices that work in XTC Mode?

How do you handle your Scope Environment?

Hi

I´m back again with a Screenshot of my Scope Settings.

I´ve tried to run STS 2000P ,STS 3000, STS 4000, STS 5000 in XTC Mode with the result that a blank box apeart in cubase 4 with the
name of for expl. STS 2000P in it. But the device wont work. The Vectron Player for expl. is working.

I´ve installed Version 4.0 of Scope and Cubase 4 with the latest update incl. the latest ASIO Scope driver.

Here is my Setting.

Any Ideas?

so... if i understand you correclty.. the problem is that cubase 4 freezes after 5 minutes use in xtc mode??

Hi,

Two remarks:
STS3000, STS4000 and STS5000 doesn't work in XTC mode
If you have STS2000p frame but not the GUI, this mean that either you dll name doesn't match the dev name OR the dev is not found, maybe copy it to your devices/synth or plugin directory.

Another point is, youi use 16 ins and 16 outs PCI channels, take care that STS2000p use 16 pci channels as well!

Yes, My complete System freezes after about 5 minutes if only cubase isr running in xtc mode.

Thanks for your the informations. I´ll keep trying to get the STS 2000P running.
Is there something with my Scope Setting maybee wrong? You said that the STS 2000P will need
Audio Ports too. Do you maybee have an example routing for me? stevie72@gmx.de

Hi Stevie,

PCI usage is internal. You don't see them but it need them to communicate with the PC Ram where samplles are stored. Just you must take care to this as PCI channel is a scarse ressource.

Check out interrupt assignement (scope don't like to share interrupt). Check out parameters in the scope driver, it have to stay active.

Could you give a more complete information of your system, it's raher difficult to help you without a more complete description.

I guess that the Bios Preferences are gone after the first crash ... And I don´t know the Settings made before ... because a Friend of mine
did the Setup ... any ideas ...

Could you check if you have interrupt/memory address sharing (check your XP config, you should not have signaled yellow devices with question mark),
If you use scope Midi connections, could you check if there is "keep alive" massage.
Chek that the power schema is disabled

Both could be a reason for crashes.


For your setup problem, I don't know how old is your PC, but the mainboard battery can also be down (about 3/4 years).
