I notice that when I send each of my audio tracks from Live into 'switch it' modules (with thru enabled) in XTC mode and send the output back into an audio track in Live, I get tons of headroom. I can literally throw up all the faders in my mix and still have to normalize my output to increase the overall volume. I don't know if this is good or bad. Normally, I would think this is good because the more headroom the better. In this case, the combo of Live and XTC mode may be giving me deceiving results. Anybody else using XTC mode with their DAW (doesn't have to be Live) experiencing the same thing?
Thanks,
Chisel
