I have a pair of these.
I don't like the way portamento works in chain mode.
But the sound is so big and fat.
I'm giving the 2nd one to dawman Jr.
Roland will release a 6/8 voice version I bet.
They had to hear the power of these and once the millions roll in, they'll try and beat Behringer to the punch.

You are a lucky man! I wanted to buy a deep mind 12,but what a good thing happened, I was in a music store and tried that piece of hardware...... This Behringer succes in many ways. Never! I don't like it. This is the weakest shit I have ever heard from an analog synthesizer.
But I find it very good what Behringer did. The other synthesizer manufacturers must move there ass, as soon as possible !
I would rather buy a Roland.

Behringer Model D will sound good, but the original SE-1 was an upgraded MiniMoog with a 4 pole Oberheim Filter, distorion and feedback, plus multiwave Oscillators, meaning you have 4 waveforms and you can use all of them at once on all 3 Oscillators.
Incredibly fat discrete audio.

This SE-02 is really the best mono synth I've played since the SE-1.

I'll be doing a couple demos of this and my new Cantebury Rhodes.
Things get better and smaller for me every year.
Including my bank account..

No pan I am aware of as it's a mono synth.
Audio out is fat.

I'm using Source Audio Reflex Expression Pedal.
2 x 1/4 inch TRS outs, 1 x CV Out to VCF CV Into SE-02.
An additional 3 x MIDI CCs via MIDI Out to SE too.

The synth is deep and extremely fat with a delay that sounds fantastic and act like a Lexicon Prime Time Delay.

that is the macdaddy of all exp pedals. That's def on my wish list now.

It's a mono synth with discreet electronics and three oscillators so panning could have been added through midi (maybe in a future firmware update or in the future software), also the specs say:

PHONES jack: Stereo miniature phone type
OUTPUT jack: Stereo miniature phone type

I have the case already. That is overpriced for a small plastic case. I guess they make their money there.

I just tried some boutique series synths. For anyone who has not laid hands on these, the knobs are smaller than they look in videos. You will want another controller for it.

I paid 19 bucks for my case. Orange and black boutique.

This was meant to be controlled.
Perfect mate for a BCF 2000.
The 100mm faders would be fine just using 14bit resolution.

This is a great little synth.
I dumped my last SE-1X for 700 with a case.
Basically paid for the SE-02 and Reflex.
Which are far more fun to play and program.

You mean the carry bag. That is $19.99. The dock is $49.99. I agree it's a great deal and probably one of the best sounding synths on the market. I tried the Model D and it's fantastic.

With both you'll get discrete audio bliss.
It's all about realtime modulation for me.

I'm sure Model D will make most users happy.
Personally Ive been bored with Minimoog for years.
But it's 3 Oscillator design is the basis for a great monophonic synth.
ARP2600 is a variant, as was the SE-1X.

SE-02 had the feedback and Ladder from Minimoog design, but the additional Cross Modulations are the action, and CV is crucial for expansion.

I'm trying to route XITE-1 Out to Analog in on SE-02 to add Filter and Delay, then use Matrix switchers to re route audio in AUX 3 of my Scope Mixer.

Might have to add the A16 Ultra again depending on sound quality.

Model D for 300 is sick.
Can't see anyone wanting to buy a Minimax or Monarch anymore.

Moogs own model D re-issue is reportedly the closest you will get to the original (I have no direct experience). But at a price of almost $4 large. Even at that price apparently the demand has been so high that the parts inventory (expected to last a couple of years) is now all but exhausted so the production run will finish soon. So if you want the real thang - time to dig deep now. I'm OK with my Reason (Legend) and Scope (Minimax) emu's for now.

Dawman is right, there is no point in buying a Model D with the SE-02 out soon.

Sonically perhaps. But since the Moogs sold out at 8 times the cost of clones and 2 years earlier than anticipated there must have been many who bought for authenticity reasons.

Collectors with money to burn aren't after souped up clones.

Only lowly performers seeking quality sound, great dope and fine trim are worried about a signature sound...

PROS : Compact & portable with high-quality sound. Generally well put together with plenty of connectivity and a decent onboard sequencer. Lots of versatile sound shaping.

CONS: Controls are too close together, lacks pitch/mod strips and battery power. No amp velocity control over MIDI, filter is steppy at high resonance settings; volume control is around the back; no arpeggiator. Accessing and using the various modes (seq/patch/song) is unintuitive.

If it was the size that it's appearing on my monitor it would be half-decent. Weird to think that it's actually smaller than the photo I'm looking at.

My MC-202 seems big compared to the SH-101 Boutique they're coming out with too.

I heard it might not be steppy with an external controller. I'll be using Arpology and a DAW. It's polyphonic if you record it! I'm not a fan of hardware sequencing but might use it as an effect. Roland says it's "to add motion and dimension to your sounds." Since reading that, I'm thinking of the sequencer in a different way. Although it's not intuitive, if you use it enough, that doesn't matter anymore.
