SamT wrote: I have a Studio Electronics ATC-X, and the problem is how to write a working sysEx.
CC controls work well not a problem, but all functions are not CC below so a sysex string is needed. All other such as Roland, Yamaha, A6, etc.
I have done work CUBASE XML editors (5), but ATCX produces the problem.

For example, Midi Quest provides a long sysex string function with a LPF / HPF filter.

In fact, I do not understand why it is about long. Normally the length is about 7-14 digits.

ATC-1 SYSEX HEADER:
BYTE 1 $ F0
BYTE 2 00
BYTE 3 00
BYTE 4 4D STUDIO ELECTRONICS I.D.
BYTE 5 02 ATC-1 UNIT I.D.
BYTE 6 nn 127 = 7F DUMP REQUEST, 0 WHEN SENDING PROGS TO ATC-1
BYTE 7 00 RESERVED
BYTE 8 00 RESERVED
BYTE 9 nn 0 = WHOLE BANK, 1 = 1 PROG AT CURRENT #, 2 = EDIT BUFFER
BYTE 10 nn MUST BE $ F7 IF THIS IS A REQUEST, OTHERWISE THIS WILL BE
THE FIRST BYT OF DATE
What are you using to send the sysex ? I have a problem sending sysex from XITE-1D to a Yamaha synth where it works from Scope PCI MIDI out. Same data.

It sounds terrific!, and the clarity of the sound is pretty unusual for analogue synths. A great achievement in my humble opinion.

SE-02 comes out in September. I ordered mine. I heard it's possible the hardware knobs are only 128 steps but this does not affect the sound when using external CC controllers. Worth it for that sound.

you may check out this demo for the performer:
Simon Ayton, known here for his De-Vice plugins and the ISON EQ (which is still my favorite choice in those rare cases I need an eq) 8)

Ison.
Always wondered how that plug in worked.
I never could get an answer when I tried to buy it a while back.

Anyone buying this will be happy.
I've heard the demos and thought it might not be as fat as the SE-1X because it doesn't send out multiple waveforms per Oscillator.
Doesn't have the distortion switch either.
But the sound is indistinguishable from the original.

Already bought a case for mine.
It will be controlled by the Physis K4.
I'm even sending the Hammond B3 Bass Pedal out from my HX-3 Module to the SE-02 audio input.
Been doing lots of 808 bass lines with underground rap cats.
Whole new venue for me.

They're going to love filtered Bass Pedal low end through the SE-02.

I just had a pair of SE-02s shipped to me.
So if they cascade well and there's no lag, it means I'll get 4 more for a fat ass 6 voice synth.

Since my Physis K4 is the controller from hell I will assume modulating parameters on main synth carrys over to the cascaded synths.
If not I'll have one to sell somebody here or wherever...

I can record again....
I have time even though I'm moving back to Nevada.
The H97 works better than my Z97s.
Learning from at0m still that less is more.

My family needs me, I miss them.
Especially my mother n Law.
She's in constant fear of being deported...

She lives at 4155 West Pecos
Las Vegas, NV.

I've had enough of these Tributes.
Going to be doing a DJ freestyle rap gig, and maybe some other offensive music.
I'll miss the tornados floods and trees.
There's just not enough night life for me in the Midwest/south.
Dragging my mobile nightclub around was fun though.
Time for a change.
I will never leave PlanetZ though.....

Fat bastards for sure.
Excellent discrete audio quality.
Fits in the Roland Boutique bag perfectly.
Sits under my LCD/iLok stand too.
