Intel NUC

Post by braincell »

I just discovered the NUC computer. This would be a great low cost alternative to a laptop for stage playing. You have to add a hard drive and memory and a monitor but you could make it boot to your software so you would not need a monitor on stage say for Pianoteq, also there is a way to make your phone be the monitor.

Guys use 1 for Host another for Strings, one for Brass/Wind, one for synths.
Gigabyte Brix are pretty nice.
VEPro can sync them all for a pretty powerful mobile rig.
Guys in Vegas I know take as many as needed.

One dude plays at Wynn and like most true players leaves his rig at the gig.
But takes an M Audio ES88 and his host Brix to play at various sit in gigs after hours.
You need to cut loose and have fun after a structured boring, but good paying gig.
