Anybody have a Roland Integra 7?

Post by al_bot »

Does anyone have a Roland Integra 7? and what do you like / dislike about it?

I've been listening to demos and such on soundcloud and youtube and can't really tell if I like it or not.
The synth sounds fine but some of the orchestral don't sound quite right to me. Flat sounding?

Oddly the xv 5080 sounds fuller to me even though both share same soundset/srx expansion.

Looking to augment my setup with some orchestral / acoustical instrument sounds.
Trying to avoid komplete / software samplers cuz i can't stand dealing with it and my pc is on the older side.

Thanks! :)

For the orchestra stuff, the pc is the best. Better to buy a new pc and a good sample library.
 out and about for music production. Are you still configguring your Studio  music first!

There is also WIVI Instruments for PC wich are NOT cumbersome sample-libraries but rather some form of Physical-Modelling. They sound good IMO and they won't use a lot of computer resources. WIVI has a very wide range of wind instruments, here's a link for info and demo - http://www.wallanderinstruments.com/
