Some REALLY, I mean... REALLY SUPERB FREE PLUGINS

Post by Nestor »

I am surprised to see there is such kind of plugins for free. Ok, yes…, you can find some very useful and nice plugins for free out there. Well, do not mistake, these are not “usable” plugins, these are really professional grade plugins that some generous and very musical people have put for everybody to download.

I think you must try them, you’ll be surprised at their quality! These plugins have nothing to be scared or ashamed of, even facing up Plugin Alliance, Waves, SSL or SPL VST plugin creations, so great they are:

First of all, some external information about the plugins in a short review:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QnVDekZYTo

Then the page where you can know all about them:
https://varietyofsound.wordpress.com/blog/

And finally, to make it easy for you, here you have the direct link to download the whole bundle, so you don’t need to download one by one:

Guys, please, DO TRY THESE PLUGINS, they are fantastic, you will be joyfully surprised! :D

Been using their Slick EQ and Kotelnikov plugs for a while, Gentleman's edition, of course :) Both are very good, but Kotelnikov gets a lot of use here, especially as a "program" compressor.

Funny, I think I first heard about them here on Z

Oh yeah, Variety of Sounds. Their package is great. I think I have all of them. I don't know too much details about the developer, but I like how their stuff sounds and operates. To me, their stuff isn't generically useful, as in they're not in my go to pile for generic fixes. Feels like their plugins have very particular contexts where they shine.

The only "but" is that they are 32bit

VOS has some good stuff, have the entire collection!

ALso mentioned here is Tokyo Dawn, iTHink iam even more impressed with them, http://www.tokyodawn.net/tokyo-dawn-labs/ The nova EQ is superb, same goes to SLickEQ and Proximitry

Since we talking about freebies heres 2 more great ones:
Multiply Chorus from AconDigital https://acondigital.com/products/multiply/
Emissary Amp : https://www.kvraudio.com/product/emissa ... gnite-amps (dont go to the ignite amps website it has been hacked or something...)
Both of these have won the kvr chalenge, so I guess thats a good thing

I barely use VST these days but some of these ones always endup making their way in my channels :)
