Does anyone else maintain a STEMBASE ?

Post by dante »

A database of stems, from all projects. From issue discussed here a bit http://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34848

Just interested if anyone else is stashing all tracks / stems on a mega drive.

I've chosen a particular version of Reaper and stopped updating it.. and I keep all my projects around. Not actual stems, but projects always load so hasn't been a problem for me so far. Only have been doing it for a few years though, so not sure how it'd hold up after, say, 15 years.. I'm not sure I'd care to load in what I was working on 15 years ago though.. lol

For the past 5 years, about everything I do is made of samples. They load into Groove Agent SE4 but are just wav samples. I came to this after not wanting to discard all the work I do on songs. I mark the tempo but I don't use many different tempos so I can mix and match.
