Wireless Audio Tricks

Post by ronnie »

Just got these devices by Avantree. Essentially they function as a Bluetooth transmitter of receiver into which you plug in a stereo audio signal. The transmission is via the AptX codec which permits extremely low latency. I tried them out from a midi keyboard connected to my phone (with it's Bluetooth turned off) using the IK pianos and the latency was very low so that it was unnoticeable and the play-ability was great, even for fast repeated notes and trills. The audio was also superb. When I use the phone's Bluetooth any phone plug-in has at least a half-second delay from the keyboard to the Bluetooth out. Units are tiny, pair seamlessly, run for hours before USB recharge (2-3 hours til full).

They work great from a computer, mixer, keyboard to a PA or to the Avantree Pro aptX headphones (or even really good headphones plugged into the receiver).

Me like very much!
