Lunchtime gig in Perth WA

Post by wayne »

Thought some Z mob may enjoy this - Dave Brewer on guitar, James Sandon tenor sax, Ric Eastman drums and myself on bass. Hot summer day in the city, stretchin' out :)

I feel like breaking up somebody's home

Thankyou gentlemen - fun combo indeed, solid people there. I'm playing with Dave again in a few weeks, always love it.

Gary - looking forward to that rocksteady - silly it may be, but it's my kind of silly :)

As good as it gets.
Nice to hear you play again Wayne.

Just curious if the snare and kick were mic'd or triggered.....

I think it's probably phone compression, Jimmy - straight out acoustic with vocal p.a.

Indeed.
I was looking for cables, etc.

We need a new plug in call iPhone/Android Compression.
Mac being the more expensive plug in because,....well it's Apple.

Great lunch gig.

And thankyou for the positive vibes, z mob - so much more than we got at the actual gig.

In Australia musicians are distrusted unless they're corporate or foreign - we have a long way to go

:o :o
!!! I hate heat !!! I could n't withstand that ! Or totaly naked, maybe, if I can jump into some water every 10mn.

Weather report says for wednesday, temperature will be 28°C where I live & work in France !! That's already too much for me ! Australia is impossible for me.

Lunchtime gigs are a tough sell.
Chicks are fully clothed and it's too early for drugs.

Best gig I did in years was on Colfax Avenue in Denver.
It's the new Haight Ashbury.

I was legally stoned.
It's been years since I caught a buzz while working.
Been straight for so long I have to lay down just to take a shit.

Lunchtime gigs here means non offensive music, no volume.
Bossa Nova hits like Jobim's "Girl With Emphazema."

I play it solo, should be background music to the video.
Pushing Bass sucks except on Bossa Nova and other Latino grooves.
You want to gig in Miami you gotta know that stuff....
