Should be integrated graphic on i7 enough for running just applications, or should i keep my pci-e graphic card ?
Does this mean that cpu produces more heat ?
What you recommend ?

the integrated video is sufficient, but it will decrease overall performance by a small amount. yes, it will make the CPU run hotter, but not significantly, at least not where music software is concerned. i'd use PCIe graphics unless there's a good reason not to, such as space.

i'm waiting for mobo now, so i'll have still plenty of time to check the best option.
i'd like to keep my silent pci-e card, it doesn't takes much space, so i think it should go with cards and space on mobo.
i'm just thinking to minimize heat, but i guess it won't improve much without pci-e card.

yeah, either the CPU or the graphics card will make the heat, so i don't think that's the biggest issue. obviously, the case needs to be properly ventilated, but after that it shouldn't be a problem.

The biggest issue with onboard graphics from Intel is their drivers. Certain OpenGL applications will still have occasional issues, up to and including plugins that are not directly compiled to each native format (there's a bit of a performance hit for highly animated plugins when used in non-VST formats, or in the case of Waves, in any format).
On the flipside, the absolute latest generation of chips from Intel is starting to do interesting things with local memory stores shared between the GPU & CPU so I would look for non-gaming tasks to perform better on the CPU's internal GPU than an external GPU within the next few Intel lifecycles.

I have been racking up stage rigs since the 1st Clarksdale CPU.
You won't notice much performance difference but just started using EVGA 16x cards and mouse GUI responses much better when editing.
Got a GTX 200 for 29 bucks at Newegg and 'll love it.
BUt I think their GFX with the IRIS PRO and 128 mb cache is impressive.
2 more cycles it's back to a 1U in hopes Valid is right.

removed pci-e graphic card and enabled graphic on intel i7 2600k, installed drivers,
works nice.
Not even bigger cpu temperature.
