Behringer BCF/BCR-2000 Custom
Behringer BCF/BCR-2000 Custom
Guess the BCF-2000 pic didn't take but here's half of the Physis K4 Mod.
These caps from http://www.djtechtools.com in San Francisco are nice and rubbery, very tall and thin so I can actually use the "endless" rotary Encoders.
On the BCF-2000 I replaced everything, not only does it look sharp but the grip of this rubber is really great for fast on the fly work.

in colours of the rainbow?
Re: Behringer BCF/BCR-2000 Custom
yes, they are.
Re: Behringer BCF/BCR-2000 Custom
Thought I had the pic in my tablet.
Will post when I get back home.
Had a custom restore since I so love the indestructable bugger.
Its got glow in the dark neon fader caps and endless rotary.
Camo paint job too.
Yuze guys would love Nashville.
So many vintage DIY Shops and boutiques.
The Camo paint is so outdoorsy-hunter Tennessee-ish.
The gay neon fader caps and knobs were so un heterolly San Franciso-ish.
The culture clash is most stiking.....

Cool find JV
There's also CoolorCaps
Both add that rubbery feel and visual colour which transforms a controller, brilliant idea.
rs-components offer a good range of knobs too for many potentiometer shafts
Time to colour my knobs and give 'em that rubbery feel..!

Color Caps is really good stuff too.
Japanese guys know they're cheaper and selling them on ebay for 5.00 per knob instead of buying the limited color options packs from the UK.
Reason I got these were not because of price but customizing the colors.
Great stuff though...

Are you saying 5 dollars per knob? Back in the day I paid around 1$ per knob...

Re: Behringer BCF/BCR-2000 Custom
The Japanese DJ simply has a mark up where his knobs are free.
Many drug dealers operate in the same fashion.
There are lower level users who just cant see paying 100 bucks for an 8 ball so they move a few and pack their face for free.

Ahh, crap man. Don't get me going about drugs. Tried a couple, never did much except make me useless or feeling crappy. Yes, I used to smoke green once in a while, never understood it. Not touching that crap again. Even beer stopped tasting good, so I've been off for a while. Sticking to bitch sticks and coffee for now. It's not the 60s anymore.
I know some people that are almost family and they cannot kick a 10 year old methadone habit. Yeah, just keep feeding junkies narcotics. At least that's what they like to do here in Canada. I think our whole healthcare system is effed. You fried your brain and now have health issues, so we'll just give you a drink that will not make you feel sick. Blah blah. Way ot.
Anyways, the knobs and pots are the most expensive parts when you're building a synth. It's the hardware that's expensive, the chips are cheap.
