I don't own it, but have calibrated Reaper to record in the Piano Room, and use the A Booth for sending signals from the A16U to the SSL4000G+. Solaris went direct w/o any effects and sounded great.
I use SpaceF Fat II-S and DAS Legend Live to get that kind of sound through my powered stage monitors.

Soundtracs PC Solo 16 chan, I like it because I've effectively got 16 channels of Pre's and 16 channels of DAW inputs into the board with eq & sends swappable to where I need them. Not the beefiest thing around (could do with modding a few channels to swap transformers on the input to something less mushy) but it serves me well enough. Sorry the synths are hidden in that pic, when I get my Solaris later this month I'll update the pic There's another small AMD box not in the view as well (not to mention all my records)...

yeah, it goes with the instrument.
i play guitar, though. i only need the guitar and a little tiny practice amp with a mic, two hands, done....
