Obama Now Calls For Off-Shore Oil Drilling

Post by braincell »

Shortly after voting for government wiretaps, Obama now supports off-shore oil drilling, siding with McCain and Bush.

be ready to be very disappointed.

I presume the McPain (Keating Five) camp has this guys' shorts anyways (is he gay, doing drugs, blah, blah...), and may somehow throw the election to let this shill in to muck up the laundry, only to swoop in with some other 'savior' offering us shallow promises.

No, what I meant was that McPain will throw his election to let Obomba in.

Then they can just blackmail Obomba to comply to the agenda.

The real agenda will be revealed with the VP's these yahoos pick. I bet $10 that Bloomberg may enter the scene.

I don't make presidential predictions anymore. I'm voting Obama but I don't think he's as great as people say he is. There might be a letdown when people realize he can't do all these things he promises and then the republicans will win again in 212. On the other hand he's a centrist which to me is a conservative and people love conservatives here. He reminds me of Bill Clinton in many ways.

without Bill Clinton, GWB wouldn't have been able to pursue his version of shennannigans. Bill set it all up while working with GHWB(he's worked with him since at least the Mena, Arkansas days of cocaine running for the Contras andf he calls George "dad")...

stop watching so much television.

....
Something similar happened here with the outgoing government.
The faction currently governing had to face with a crucial national debt at the end of its mandate, when it was in charge some years ago. It looks to me like they tweaked electoral rules just before the election and the electoral campaign too, in order to make the opposite faction raise to govern, but with just the minimum difference in the number of deputies and senators. Such a new government had to face the deficit charging the people with taxes and strongly persecuting (mostly the minimal) fiscal frauds, losing this way lot of support from the electorate. When the public debt was almost made up, it wasn't difficult for such a strong opposition to make the government fall and take the full power back

Why do americans hate offshore drilling so much,
I guess its ok to go in to other countries and completely destroy the landscape for the insatiable thirst for oil. but not in your back yard.
I guess you know that oil drilling is bad, but its ok to do it in other countries. because those people are not worth anything.

We don't hate it.
The fake environmentalists hate it, and use it to convince the bought-n-paid-for politicians to pass stupid laws to stop it.
There is more profit for the oil companies in foreign countries.
It's called globalism.
Meanwhile many foreign countries are drilling offshore in the Gulf of Mexico just outside American borders.
It's all a lie.

americans hate anything the tv says that they should, unfortunately. this is just a generalization, of course. there are a LOT of americans who aren't fooled by any of this b$.

there's no oil shortage anyway. if anything, there's a refinery shortage, since refineries around the world have been systematically shut down to give the illusion of scarcity(there are intercompany memos that have become public that back this up).

Or the tankers are told to float around in the open sea (also documented).

Pz do not shoot on me :) since few years now , I'm working close on some deep offshore projects.
Just to confirm what Garyb told , "there is no oil shortage" , I fully agree .

Out of middle east , irak , west africa and caspian Mega fields , that are mainly under Western control . The big problem for "Our" Oil majors leading the business , is that the remaining oil reserves are under control of powerfull countries not aligned with these Western world majors.

a)Brazil mega deep offshore fields
b)Chinese sea is under heavy drilling activity under eyes of Chinese fleet
c)Arctic deep water fields , full control still not determined .Who will win ? Canada, Usa, Russia , Eskimos ?
d)Iranian Mega fields not exploited at 100% capacity
e)I could finish with Venezuela , and few minor countries

So my simple thought is that , Mr Obama and Mc Cain have been convinced that drill in alaska will be an alternative to the "possible" coming war in Iran.

These majors and politicians collaborating with them won't let the oil price fall whatever is the price that our nations and many other will pay (wars , terror , etc...).

My only dream is to get in a possible future a "blood and war free" oil in my car...or not oil at all in my car.

Huge oil field off the shores of Argentina - remember Falkland Island?

Price of oil is manipulated.

It's time the US does whatever it can to stop using oil altogether, despite the so-called 'peak oil' scams and manipulations (countries essentially held hostage).
