Phase Frequency Shifter

Saw this vid the other day and was wondering if or how this could be made either as a device or possibly built using various modules in Scope Modular. A really nice sounding effect particularly interesting at around 29 seconds, and again later on in vid.

Seems to be based around or related to ring modulation

Any developers out there interested in having a go at this?

Cheers :)

Edit: just saw the following related request

http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php ... cy+shifter

So will take a look at the frequency shifter module and see if that will do the job. But I'll leave my post here in case anyone wishes to reply. Thanks lads.

Hi t_tangent,

You can start with this:

Thank you kindly Roland. I will have a look at that in more detail over the next day or so, then hope to try and see if I can convert it over in scope modular. Thanks again.

I can do that for you.
I just wasn't sitting behind the Xite(yes, I have it still here).
This was done with the Clavia NMG2Demo on my tablet in the train.
You can find this here:
http://www.clavia.se/products/nordmodular/demo.htm

As I told Holger, it would be a great tool to make something like this(Demo) for the modular Scope versions.
Than you can work any time and everywhere.
As a start, all was developed in a pc and Demo shell.
I would keep the Xite-1 when such a tool was there.

Tweak the the modules on the right.

Wow, thanks for that Roland, will be trying this one out when I get back home.

I agree with you about how beneficial it would be having a "Demo" GUI where you can still build modular templates while away from the actual Scope hardware, and I can see why that is such a useful feature on the Nord modular and must be a big selling point. I guess it must be possible to do for Scope modular....somehow....but I expect S-C have higher priorities and are limited as to what they can realistically take on. Wish I could help but sadly wouldn't know where to start :(

Yes lucky for me you still have the XITE-1 at least for now, and I should think of some other modular designs while you are still able to convert them for Scope modular, haha :)

Cheers for now and thanks again for the help.

roland in bc modular there are clm shells for designing circuits

you can send these to sharc of bc modular and he will create the module

but as seeing you have the sdk you can also join the developers group

as we are discussing new modules using the scope guisdk using host cpu modules

Found the shells.
Any links?

http://bcmodular.co.uk/downloads/BCMODULAR_0_971b.zip

this is the full modules

you create the circuits you want with a clm shell these are small circuit shells that you can create custom circuits in the save them and recall them with out having to remake them

very handy for user sub modules

i create fx and filter types resonators and save them

and if i create a synth and i need this basic building block i then load a clm shell and call up the preset of the one i made before which it loads into the shell

the shell has async sync i/o and audio i/o

the async ins can be used for control and gate signals

if you have a module you like you can then send it to sharc and he will create the custom module for you with credits to you

its a great way of getting new modules in the modular

i did a polymoog resonator
