AES

Post by SART »

Almost all contemporary DAW systems lets working at 96 and even 192 kHz (a.e. RME and others). It is VERY IMPORTANT also for XITE and for PCI cards (I mean a competition S-C with others). But it is possible only with S-C ADCs (A16) with Z-Link. Many S-C owners working with a preferable multichannel ADC - MYTEK, APOGEE, AURORA, LAVRY and others. Almost of them DO NOT HAVE A Z-LINK, but have multichannel AES or S/MUX outputs. An example APOGEE AD16 lets to write 16 channels at 96 Khz through AES or S/MUX interface.
Question: Why the S-C do not producing the Cards with optional AES-INs and S/MUX for 16-channel recordind?
