nprn to cc converter

Post by kensuguro »

very specific to recent drum machines and such.. some of them only send nprn instead of CC.. it's 12bit high res and all, but pretty useless when it comes time to integrate with other stuff. Can anyone create a nprn to cc convert / remapper? (so any nprn can be mapped to any CC. i can build it in max/msp, but I'd like to put it right after pulsar's midi in, so it gets converted at source.

very straight forward:

btw, I have an alesis micron, and wanted to use its knobs somehow. I still can't believe the firmware doesn't have this built in.

Should be easy enough to do since I've already done some work on NRPN's in Scope :

I'll look into it

this could solve your problems
4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.

yeah, there are many software solutions for this, like going through max/msp or pd, but it'll be nice to be able to get it convereted within scope, so that you don't have to open the program every time you need to use the converter.

sharc, seem like you already built the main components. I don't use the micron knobs too much, so this isn't mega high priority. Just sort of a "if you can slap it together" kind of thing. But it'll be cool since it allows control from all the nprn devices, like electribe series, etc.
