Cheap Z-Link cables!

Post by tlaskows »

On Amazon.ca, or a different site if you're somewhere else. I paid 15 Canadian for two of them after shipping. They're getting hard to find!

Yes, it is! But these are cheap and work great. My adat cables were more expensive and they are causing issues. Like loose connection.

I like Z-Link over adat anyday! The timing for 8 channels I/O runs the full 32-96k, with no loss of channels above 48k as is done with adat/smux. There is no need for a word clock, as it's built in to the protocol.

Use z-link whenever you have the opportunity! (which I think is limited only to a A16, but still...)

Yes, I like it so far. No more loose cables and crackling because of it! I don't need more than 16 channels yet, probably never will. I only have 3 hardware synths right now, some have multi outs. The A16 Ultra is the best. The sound quality is top notch.
