Copperlan delayed startup

Post by yayajohn »

First make sure the Copperlan program is installed so the CPVNM service starts automatically the way it was installed.

hold the windows key and 'R'
The run window pops up
type services.msc and hit enter
Scroll until you find CPVNM Service
Right click and select properties
Next to 'Startup Type' there is a pull down menu
Select: Automatic(Delayed Start)
Click apply and then OK

After you restart your computer if you have Scope set to automatically start and you open services you will at first note that CPVNM service is not running and then if you wait a bit it will run.......hopefully :)

This should preserve your Copperlan connections

Tested this on Win7 64bit and Win 8.1 32bit

Excellent ! I'm not sure I'll use this tip because I like to control when Scope starts.. And to start manualy the Copperlan service after Scope doesn't disturb much my life...

Thanks anyway, John ! We'll see how it behaves with Scope 6 ! Or maybe our children...
