SPACEF Notes
SPACEF Notes
I really find that the SpaceF Blue and Red Notes really come
in handy when things start getting busy.
This is my most favorite recent Live project.
What's cool is by clicking on any of the devices in the Project
Window the Notes go into their translucent mode where the
Modules are on top, but still beneath are the Notes which are
easily readable.

Re: SPACEF Notes
Solaris is split into 4 x Stereo I/O's in a Modular Patch where I have 4 x Stereo Inserts w/ Effects.
1/2 is a Clean Signal going into a FAT II-S, Then the MIDI 4 Pole Filter
Then the Interpole S & Hold Preset, then the Leslie, which goes into the STM2448X, then passed out of BUSS 7/8 to the Feedback HPF Filter where I use a Siberian Chef (just kiddin', the word feedback started taking a hold of me) but the Filter is used as a Crossover to better emulate a Real Leslie 147 Walnut Cabinet. The signals go into the B2003 and back into the Mixer.
This way I can always add a really deep Filter using 4 pole by sliding up Fader #2 on the BCF2000, Fader #3 brings in a sample and Hold much like "welcome Back My Friends" by ELP, and this sustains so I can reach over to another keyboard, the 4th Fader of the BCF2000 is how I can bring in a Rotary Cabinet to Solaris, which really sounds reminiscient of old Yes Guitar and Vox parts on Close To The Edge LP..
I sold the Neo Ventillator since I can get better Grind for that Steppenwolf sound from SAWs and Dynomic.
The Vent had 2 x MonoPrice converters for using in a Scope Project window w/ TosLink (1/4" to ADAT and a ADAT to 1/4" for total Digital connections. I got my money back -50 bucks, so it was OK.
I can get great distortion from SAW though, it just has a different approach as it cuts away frequencies/harmonics with control called Angle and then using the Frequency selectors in Dynomic real dials in the right areas..

Thanks for the detailed info !
Because lack of time I´m not into Modular much, but I will when I buyed Modular IV upgrade and Flexor.
Now, by reason as mentioned in my line above,- I´d like to be sure what SAW is.dawman wrote: I can get great distortion from SAW though, it just has a different approach as it cuts away frequencies/harmonics with control called Angle and then using the Frequency selectors in Dynomic real dials in the right areas..
Is that something related to Modular or hardware Solaris ?
Just asking because that term, to me, is a waveform.
Interesting you sold your Vent though.

Re: SPACEF Notes
SAW is included with the GOST Harmonic Bundle (Dynomic).

Re: SPACEF Notes
great great Note trick!
Not working on v4 I guess? will try later.
Reminds my of an old idea of mine to have a function to make cables flickering or something, when audio or midi is going through it, for fast checking.

Re: SPACEF Notes
I especially like the Notes when the Modules are on top, and the Notes turn Transluscent.
Re: SPACEF Notes
realy great:-)
Very helpful for a default project if you have to mix different songs of the same band/project with not exactly the same instruments.
Sometimes you have different number of guitar tracks, wether or not synths, second voices etc.
I have a basic fx setup for each type of instrument ready for start, I delete what's not used in the current new song.
This Notes trick makes it easier to connect the inputs to the right type of instrument channel, like guitar-solo, synth 2 etc.

Brings into memory Dutch politician Tiny Kox going to speach in the UK somewhere.
Englisch news readers clearly had problems not to laugh when pronouncing his name.
In fact they had to laugh, and because of that they had to laugh even louder.
Tiny comes from Martinus, and it's pronounced as in Mar-tini, and not as in minuscule
If the newsreaders only had known this...or even better if his parents had forseen his international career

He could have used his middle name: as long as it wasn't 'Wini'hubird wrote:obviouslydawman wrote: Caught Cha' sleepin'....

Nice one Dawman. I'm always checking and double checking. I'm going to follow your lead.
Except that I can't find it!! A link may be? Bitte?

I can't find them either ! I don't see them at Spacef's or here...
Maybe, someone...

Re: SPACEF Notes
I can't remember where I got them but you should ask SpaceF if it's in Black Box.
If it isn't that means I got them out of the Device thread. They should still be available, but I am not sure as many old sites are closing down.
There are Blue, Red and Sliver colors. The same as his awesome little MiniMixers, so I am thinking it's a part of BB2 or BB1.
I sure wish more people had the pleasure of such great devices and filters.
I keeo hearing Black Box II is dificult to purchase, I can't understand why.....

Re: SPACEF Notes
It's unfindable, here in the BB2. I've got the useful colored minimixers but no Spacef notes.
Re: SPACEF Notes
Well ask SpaceF if it's OK to grab them from him, and if not, from me.
I'd be happy to help as they are much better than S|C notes, and quite useful.

Re: SPACEF Notes
I uploaded them for you into a zip folder here.
It's all the notes devices that Spacef gave us for free , even some old ones. He made them with several colors (8).

Re: SPACEF Notes
That's great, thanks guys. I was about to message SpaceF myself but you saved me the job.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
