VDAT & Dynamixer

Post by dawman »

I have been learning to get by on 15DSP's for the first time ever, and have come to really appreciate the guys who use a single card, especially the 6 DSP guys.....LOL.

Anyway when I record w/ VDAT I use the feedback module from Wolf so I can monitor previously recorded tracks.

I also can keep my devices and modules in the project window, thanks to the collapsable Dynamixer. When recording you can collapse the mixers amount of channels, and for playback and mastering you can expand the amount of channels needed.

If I stay at 75% DSP load, I can expand during mastering w/ effects w/o having to delete anything, and save the project for recall.

I seem to get alot done as long as I don't load those DSP hungry synths.

GSIF 1.7 driver allows 32 channels ( 16 stereo ) into Dynamixer also w/o causing any DSP load troubles.

I have definately come to respect the guys who get by on a 1 card rig, and the tips that they provided.
