Hello.

I hope this is the right place for this.

I use to interconnect hardware devices building myself the cables, so I can get right lenghts and connector types.

Altough it's quite easy here buying good quality connectors, it's not the same for the shielded cable.

So I'm looking for hi-quality cable to buy by the metre (without connectors), but I've no ideas about how find it.

Any suggestion?

I've thought maybe it's better to specify I'm talking about audio connection.

you can order mogami cable from marshall electronics ( http://www.mogamicable.com/ )

most of the cable companies(whilrwind, horizon, etc. sell raw cable.....

Thank you very much, garyb.

Just... I forgot to specify that I'm in Europe.
Probably the cost of the cable is not proportionate with the shipping cost

i'm sure you can get bulk belden or mogami locally. there is certain to be a good quality cable near the place you live. better electronic stores will have cable as will wire distributors(yes, they exist).

here's the marshall page for the worldmogami ditributors.

zoalla and monster both sell bulk cable if you want REALLY good stuff, but beware, it's expensive and requires silver solder(tricky). belden or alden or similar would be just fine, mogami and canare are more "premium". i'm sure that there are other good manufacturers in europe.

Thank you. I've found mogami reseller in my zone.

Do you prefer self-made or monsters and similar?

custom cabling is great if you use good cable and know how to solder.

my favorite cable is monster studio pro and zoalla, both a hassle to deal with yourself.

Sooner or later I'll get a pre-assembled studio pro for instruments => top end connection.
It's for sure one of the best choices.
It seems almost thicker than normal cables in the pictures I've seen.

Considering that synths, expanders, electronic intruments in general usually have stereo outs, a double cable is needed.

I've found this out for guitars
http://www.fulltone.com/cables.asp

Does anyone use it?
