Win98 can work with maximum 512MB RAM. You can bypass the problem by making 512MB cache:

Enter this in system.ini:
[vcache]
MinFileCache=524288
MaxFileCache=524288

Does your system even boot!?

hippo - you should upgrade to XP. You've got a great PC, and it will fly with XP.....

I couldn't get less than 100ms latecy with my Pulsar I with Win ME, and when I switched to XP, I got 11ms easily. Now with my Luna II added it's even lower....

Maybe stay with it for now but change later. Windows XP is only going to get better while 98 SE will never get better. I use XP and prefer it to 98SE but I still get some crashes.

Hi,
I have the same problem - but I have XP. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?
I have the STS 2000p and I'm loading Akai-Sammples. Some of them work but alot of them give me the low memory message.
I have a P4 with 3GHz and 1 GB Ram.
Thanks! Steve
