clicks when using external sync

Well the subject says it all. When I switch to external sync in a sequencer module the audio gets really bad with clicks (horrible sounding). I use Cubase SX.

Cubase SX is known to have bad MIDI timing, and the dsp delays don't like unstable clock at all. I always use internal clock for that reason.
