Using my sts 3000, I really want to be able to trigger one sample in a keygroup at the note off stage. So I press a key, one samle triggers, and then when I take my finger off the key, another sample in that group triggers.

First, is this possible ?
Second - if so, how ?

Route your MIDI to external program (eg. Cubase), use Midi Input Transformer and back to your sampler.
In STS only this is probably not possible.

I think I see. I get cubase to change note off to note on, so when it comes back to the STS it triggers the sample as usual. But will this work for having two different samples in the same zone trigger at different times, or will I have to set up another multi-sample for the note off sample ?

Surely the now-transformed note off signal will trigger both samples at the same time ?
