Recording into STS

Post by Crickstone »

I thought I'd take a quick crack at STS5000 and sample a bit of a CD. But on play back it was a ridiculous pitch and at lightning speed.....what am I missing?

In Zones menu select Sample from the boxout that says Sample Loop Info and check that the key assignment isn't set to something odd ( like G8 ). Set it to C1 or wherever you want it.

Go into the keygroup/option box on the sts and you'll notice a note value which probably says G8, knock it down to c3 or C2 basically you recorded the sound based on a very high note that's all
