just bought a pulsar project....attracted to the STS 5000...

can it really map a single sample across several octaves without chipmunk effect?

.... andI can't find much good said about it in forums.....what is its current status?

It's all explained in the manual.

You have to change the Pitch mode from Resample to Formant to avoid that chipmunk effect.
Formant mode preserves the tonal characteristic of the original sample at all playback pitches.
This mode requires a Calc Pitch to calculate the best sounding results. Select "speech" if you're using vocals.
