Mine is 25ms. Is that the way it should be?
Thanks for any input.

With a Pulsar I, you can get down to 13ms. You adjust this in the Pulsar "ULLI" menu inside Pulsar.

Hello,i had a strange crash with my
mac os 8.6.one day i have tried to
put a lower latency in the ulli window, and all my os has been crashed,i had to reinstall my operating system.Since this day i have not tried again(as i am a big paranoiac i'm waiting to finish my album to reinstall all properly).Does somebody
know if it is current when you try to play with the ulli latency.

Hi!

It seems to me that u need to update your OS.
I'm using MacOS 9.1 and I have a G4 running at 7ms, although I've worked without any problems down to 3ms!

Seems both Logic and VST are working with 3ms

Good luck

Oh, another thing!

My G4 has AGP, the older ones has PCI instead. (I'm talking about the graphic card)

The PCI models might have too little bandwith left on the bus in order for it to allow low ULLI settings!

Solution: Get a AGP model or buy (god forbid) a PC

Regardless, I think PulsarI (and ScopeI) cards have a low-end ULLI of 13ms. Newer hardware will let you go below that, I run 4ms with no problems on a PC, CUSL2/1000mhz system.

I will try to update in os9.1 and i will see the result on the ulli,if it crash again i will crying all my tears.
Another doubt i have, when you change the os
does it mean that you are updating your asio
drivers?and does it changing the sound(i mean is there a relation with transfer speeds from the hard disk to my ears).

Just make sure you have something like a "Norton Ghost" image of your drive before you start experimenting with a new OS or Pulsar version, or if you think ULLI will crash your machine (???!!!). This way, you can return everything back exactly the way you had it in a matter of minutes, saving your hair from falling out too much more... There might be something like Norton Ghost for Mac, if Norton doesn't make such a thing anyway.
