Sonarworks

Post by Ricardo »

Anyone know if Sonarworks Reference 4 is compatible with Scope
I use XITE and Samplitude and couldn’t get it to work. Sonarworks wanted to invade my pc to remote problem solve the issue. But I didn’t think it would be such a good idea

Sonarworks sits between your DAW and soundcard, either as a plugin or as software running on your system that works similar to 'virtual audio cables' or the other various software routing mechanisms for audio on the market. This means it would sit BEFORE your Scope software, something that you would not want imho. A better option if you MUST calibrate as well as use Scope is to get studio speakers that can handle the calibration directly, or an outboard rack unit that can do the same.

Personally I 'measure' with such tools, measure at multiple points near the listening position (certainly not just one) and adjust my environment until satisfied.

never "calibrate" speakers. eq is a useless way to fix room issues. it's more than a waste of money and time.
