Hi,

Asus have two boards with 3 x PCI slots on their website - Prime H310 PLUS and TUF H310-PLUS Gaming - The SATA 6 Gb/s ports seem in the way of the PCI slots vs the Gigabyte H310 D3.

H310 Chips are already discontinued, but the new Q370 is a full featured Chipset.
You can use 8th Gen. CPUs like the i3 8350k, or i7 8700k.

This board looks like a big ass server quality board.
With 5 x PCI 32bit Slots.

DFI always had killer motherboards too.
German guys might like this Q370.

Is there any real experience with running SCOPE PCI-cards on these newer chipsets and if, what was the performance like?

Hi, - :) - Someone has got an Asus Z370 ROG Hero (or similar) working with Xite-1 and 8700 K - S|C have done something very good to make this work - :) - But only recently, so, no, nobody has much or any experiences of Coffee Lake -

It's not been tried on the PCI cards - and finding a Z370 board with PCI slots will be very difficult - aside from the Gigabyte H310 D3 -

There are only 6 PCI-e lanes to the chipset on H310 choipset (Z370 has 24) only 6 - but it is still useable

I'll be passing on the H310 but if you have PCI cards......and can't find any PCI boards - :)

Those PCI Cards are impressive.
15 years old and still sound good.

Here’s another triple PCI 32bit board.

Notice the perpendicular DIMMs for Rack Mount front to back cooling.
IBase Q370 looks sweet.

I’m definately building an XITE-1/Supermicro Q370 w/ the i3 8350k CPU.
It’s single core performance is about 15% better than my beloved i7 4790k CPUs.
No hyper, no turbo, no overclocking.
