Hi,
Asus Z97-AR i7 4790k thunderbolt II EX dual card - Integrated graphics, HDMI & display port on mobo.
Testing computer - HDMI hooked up to a TV graphics display OK -
display port - adpater is connected to display port > VGA adapter - computer recognises Asus 19" digital monitor [but it's VGA] - so monitor is recongnised but no graphics output
Is this due to VGA being analog?
I do have a DVI version of same monitor which i'll try but just seeing if this will work on extended desktop
display problem
Re: display problem
Sorted this out - VGA into display port was a no go as far as displaying the picture was concerned. I've dropped the VGA anyhow for this computer in question. It was an option to insert a graphics card but integrated is more convenient. It's a bit of a nightmare with the monitor to computer connection as I've got some older VGA monitors which may not be used, shame!
Re: display problem
What I can say is : when I bought a new pc, I wanted to use the Integrated graphics. I had bad crack noises. I tried everything : unable usb's, moving pci cards, unable turbo or all those kind of features, etc... No luck. Then I purchased a graphic cards, small one, no fan, then no more bad noise...
