XP 64 bit or Vista 64 bit

Post by fraz »

Hi,

I may [thinking about it]-Build a computer with XP 64 or Vista 64 - Some say Vista is power hungry - It would be to use with Xite-1 - and I think I'd build on either 1150, 2011 or even 1155 as I've got a spare MOBO-

Any thoughts?

Windows 7 64-bit. Does XP even support 64-bit? Vista was just horrible.

yeah, windows7.

i do not know that Scope works in XP64. Vista, Win7, win8 and win10 are ALL the same OS. windows7 is the first version that really worked correctly.

I've got the bases covered for Windows 7 on 32 & 64 - This is my favourite - On XP I have 32 bit - It may be unlikely that I'll build XP or Vista 64 bit - but if I do XP 64 is better than Vista 64 ??????-

EMU have some sound banks for Proteus X2 & Emulator X that only work on XP reliably - and currently I've only got XP 32 bit which is fine for 4 GB RAM and maybe enough - MOTU have MACH 5 and they claim their lastet version will work UNIVERSALLY with 3rd party libraries eg EMU and if this is the case I'd ditch the XP 64 idea -
