64 Bit

Post by Music Manic »

What are the pros and cons of 64Bit?

I know it helps in terms of memory but creates more work for the CPU but how else does it help?

Does it help with algorithms and headroom?

Anymore info appreciated.

Kontakt, Reason etc can fit more samples in RAM - that's it.

Do I keep dual core settings set to enable in the bios.

Do DAWs still run on single core? I've been out of the loop for a while.
I'm on intel Dp35DP

Thanks.
