hello.
I have tested the Z68 chipset on a asus P8Z68-V lx motherboard with pci creamware card.
i alway have "pci overflow errors" with this motherboard!
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z68V_LX/
so i wait and see that intel build a new chipset the B75 with legacy pci native support.
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8B75V/
with this motherboard i have no more "pci overflows errors"
i can use my pulsar 2 and scope 15 dsp with no problems.(90 % on dsp power in red line also work)
the problems for me is that the pci support is not build anymore it's difficult to find a motherboard now with pci slot.
intel make the B75 for society who still using old pci hardware.
some people like garyb (soniccore employe) telling that there's no relation between pci overflows and non native pci support motherboard.
so i can you explain that a have problem with Z68 chipset and no problems with the B75?????
why intel make a special chipset B75 for making work old pci gear and not for creamware pci card witch is a pci card ?!?!?!?!
very very strange and suspicious for me that anyone had discover this fact on actual motherboard.
phil
PCI OVERFLOWS ERROR WITH NON NATIVE PCI SUPPORT MOTHERBOARD
Re: PCI OVERFLOWS ERROR WITH NON NATIVE PCI SUPPORT MOTHERBO
good to know that that motherboard works for you!
please do the masterverb test.
non-native PCI CAN work. socket 1150 motherboards that work prove that.
native support in a chipset DOES NOT always work. old AMD and VIA chipsets prove that 1000 times over and over.
by the way, i NEVER said that there was no relation to chipsets with non-native PCI support. don't put words in my mouth. obviously, the computer industry would rather that PCI slots were eliminated completely.

Re: PCI OVERFLOWS ERROR WITH NON NATIVE PCI SUPPORT MOTHERBO
you say:
on Purchasing and Trading:
topic:"sale asus P8B75V native pci legacy support with intel B75" :
"none of those plugins have anything to do with possible problems with the motherboard.
how many masterverbs can you load? the question is about the PCI bus's perfromance, not about if it has a native controller or not."
remember what you say garyb
for you the pci native support is not a problem but:
it's a real problem cause with no pci native support you always have pci overflow error .
i test it on a asus Z68 chipset ,non native pci support, and it simply not work with creamware pci card (not only masterverbs)all the plugins make this error .

Re: PCI OVERFLOWS ERROR WITH NON NATIVE PCI SUPPORT MOTHERBO
you are incorrect.
most, if not all, socket 1150 motherboards, which do NOT have native PCI support work just fine.
as i already told you, the masterverb is a REAL and ACCURATE way to measure realtime PCI performance, since a masterverb involves tens of thousands of delay lines running between system ram and the card.
what i said was proper. perhaps you are not reading it correctly...

Re: PCI OVERFLOWS ERROR WITH NON NATIVE PCI SUPPORT MOTHERBO
bla bla.
you're are incorrect showing me a woman crashing is back on the floor ...
it's a prouve of failure.
the only test i have made with non native pci support is on P8Z68 V-lx motherboard.
and this motherboard really don't work with creamware pci card.
you have always "pci overflow error" even with little project.
i have test it on scope 15 dsp pulsar 2 win 7 32 bit.
the other people will be very interested of your attitude prouving that you don't know how work pci slot on new motherboard
