ASRock Storage Beast

I never really cared much for ASRock as everything they did was based on under cutting their competitors with low cost/overclockable solutions.
But they seemed to make their market share and while still offering low level consumer build they have leaped ahead with this design.

It is perfectly suited for big video work, which tells me that high bandwidth is a concern when builging this.
Custom chipsets and Thunderbolt II @ 1GHps transfers makes this a dream for Virtual Instrument counts mastered in a single take, or for live work.
SATA III while not being a bottleneck for me seems to always crap out with higher RAM and MIDI Triggered VI's, so going to a twice as fast solution is great.
TBolt 2 is hot pluggable and can retreive huge amounts of data like the new Samsung M2 PCI-e SSDs.
There are faster ways, but not so cheap and portable as we are finally seeing with M2 PCI-e SSDs.
Check out this external monster streamer made for these TBolt 2 ports.
