Patriot 64GB USB 3.0

Post by dawman »

This baby is fast.
I saw USB 3.0 Flash drives at CES a few years ago and always wanted one as 4-12GB sample libraries were super slow.
But using an Internet Download Manager and this allows me to do what
use to take 25-30 minutes to download, then another 20 -30 to transfer all in 3-5 minutes now.
45 USD @ Amazon.

the sandisk extreme should be faster (and a bit more expensive) and if speed is a concern i'd go for it.

Brotha' Man Sal I agee, but the price versus diminishing returns make this hust right.
I only need to take a leak or make coffee and then come back to a laoded templete full of 18GBs.
At the Clubs I just order a drinkg from the waittail cocktress and it's ready...

Sans are better for speed though as 150MBps is a little higher than the cheaper Patriot, but I have a 95-100MBps sweet spot it seems.
IDM is a really fast downlaod manager though, now using 10 simultaneous streams.
Well worthe the price an M$ and Windows version are proucts they purchsed prior to USB3 that seem to use 4 simultaneous stream, but its free......oh boy, the magic word.
