We landed in LAX and transferred to Las Vague Ass where we bus toured around main city from Caesars' Palace - massive hotel w/ luxurious room and view. The 2nd night before we left we took a 90 minute tour of the city lights in a Limo. Was hot in Vegas. View from flight when we left spectacular of the farms and UFO like round plantations or whateva they were.

Then landed in Washington DC - one night in hotel then tour of the city - various memorials, white house, museums etc. Then next day bus tour thru Amish country and I think we went thru that Wine Country where John Bowen made a special synth. Visited Amish places where the streets have no cars.

Next day / nights on the Canadian side of Niagara - spectacular - more meal and Canadian Mounties Bawdy stage show was funny. By this time we got to know the tour groupers - I hooked up with a Tommy Lee Jones clone whose father served in Infantry in Papua New Guinea where my father served in Surveyance - making the artillery maps for the infantry so they could have fought in the same battles.

Then bussing round the Finger Lakes and hit New York. Had a bus tour the next day before main tour ended then moved to Hyatt Centric on Times Square. Hudson River Cruise great views of lights by night & the lady liberty herself. The last night we hit Broadway to see School Of Rock. great show I liked that it was different plot variation to the movie (which we'd seen like 8 times). I bought the soundtrack coz it had songs I hadn't heard in the movie, like 'Stick It To The Man'.

Great trip all in all.

Sounds like a blast Dante.
DC is a favorite of mine because of the Smithsonian.
You came at a good time even though Vague Ass is always hot.

The day the tour visited the Smithsonian National Air And Space Museum and surrounds I had a crook ankle so didn't move around much outside the bus. But was disappointed on not seeing the WW2 plane exhibits such as the Luftwaffe Blitz Jet (234 B-2 Blitz), Messerschmitt Bf 109, North American Mustang P-51C, Supermarine Spitfire HF. Mk. VIIc. And heaps of others, bombers included.

I'm looking to do the Smithsonian next year as I gave some money to preserve Neil Armstrong's suit and it returns next year for display.

May have to swing by Carson City and see the Dawman (want to do West Coast too).

Nice pics. Loving the Spitfire (natch).

I'm listening to an AudioBook. Apparantly the P51 Mustang was designed on British request starting with British specs of the Spitfire and a captured Messerschmitt ME109. So the famous North American Mustang is a sort of cross breed of the best of British and best of German.
