Higen- Ripples in Space

An attempt to make music between everything else that is usually "more important".

Lots of scope where used and abused during the makings of the track.
dNA for endgame mixing, Modular with flexor, Adern eq and fat cat, DAS 1610, Vinco, stock SSB Modulator, DAS C360L, SpaceF MB7, etc..

I like this, I really do. Very Jarre-esque without the bossa nova style rhythm tracks.
Only listened on my cheapo PC speakers so far, but the mix sounds nice, the stereo positioning lovely (throwing up the nice odd surprise).
Criticisms? Not really, but perhaps a couple of (hopefully) constructive comments:
The piano lines at the start & end seem to drag the track a bit. I have the same problem with piano tracks sometimes. Perhaps a couple of lead-in notes to this piano theme in the style of Robert Miles?
The drum track could use a few sharp snares on beat 3 from time to time.
You seem to have thrown everything but the kitchen sink at this track (first on FL) and I can understand this too, but it works. I love it at 3:20 area especially and it would've been great to hear the lush strings used near the end more often to bolster the story.

Didn't mean it to sound so critical, just throwing in my 2 penneth. I really like it.

Thanks for the feedback!! I appreciate your feedback bigtime! Not sure if I am going to improve this track, or instead taking the feedback into the next project :p. I am not a perfectionist.

But I do agree - I am probably too in love with piano, but could probably tone it down.
I love lush pads and stacks of sounds, which is something I am learning about at the moment. So moving forward' i will work more with that.

I also have a thing about layers of melodies, allowing the user to experience the track in different ways.. I guess it comes from my past as a psy/goa head, endorsing pleiadians for their compexity and ability to layer melodies.. However it comes at the cost of a too busy mix :p

Again, thanks for the feedback and that you took the time to listen.

Ah, that's where it comes from, I had associated feelings already.
A bit ambient chill. You could make the track a bit more 'intimate' by redrawing back the melodies here and there, if the base rithmic parts can barry. Maybe downgrade the drumparts a BIt.
Great orchestration tho, well done anyway :-)
(preparing for The BOOM! festival in Portugal, so...).
