BBDelayPSh

Bucket Brigade Delay 2017 version.

Image

But no fear, it only has it's basic principle in common with the original:
Input->Delay1>Delay2...Delay8,
The BBDelayPSh also features 8 PitchShifters, as well as Pan, Gain and on/off switches for every delay.
There are two modes: continous and ducking.
In ducking mode, Delay input volumes are modified by the compressor output, to avoid too much input signal.

Excellent device.
Using Compressor to Duck is smart.
I do that live for vocalists.
Comes in handy when you want a certain word or syllable treated.

Thanks RoyT.

Oooh ! Absolutely terrific ! And pitch shifter delay ! With some other special features ! I had to build complicated modular patch to get a pitch shifter delay as I want ! Now, I've got it ready ! :)

Thank you, Roy !!

The soundcloud demo is great !

Made a Ducking Reverb PS Delay somethin' or other and the preset is bad ass.
Reminds of old FX tracks underlying keyboard solos and even vocal FX.
If you isolate Grace Slicks vocal on White Rabbit you can hear this.

I dont know if the recording worked or not.
I havent been able to record for years because of drivers.
So I can play a mlittle bit into a recording module in Bidule but cant monitor it, or even play it back.

So please let me know if it worked.
The effect sounds fantastic though.

RoyT strikes again.....

20 Mbps of air.
Maybe today I'll try to get a way to record again.
Bidule just doesn't work anymore, VDAT is history and I hate DAWs.

But Faxi, Ray and RoyT have done so much for us lately.
I've been inspired to record.

I must add more reversed terminology to my peanut sized brain.
It was hard enough trying to understand Source and Destination modules like Seq destination really means out from keyboard into a recording app.

This device sparked my curiosity. Does anyone have any links for info and pics of the original Bucket Brigade Delay by Philips?
I googled but came up with jack. Just a wiki ref.

@JV Wow that was the best clip! :P  Just kidding man! I hope you get your recording thing worked out we haven't heard anything from you in forever :)

I'm burnt out on this shit because I just tried Gig Performer.
Installed it went to open it crashed my system.
Then demands I upgrade windows so fuck them too.
I might just get an old Alexis 24/96 HD and start using.
My rig makes me cash money, no sense trying to "Fix" that.

Just play melodic Piano or synth and listen to that background.
It adds a slight amount of feedback making the last note sustain as an effect.
Beautiful...

such a cool device, had loads of fun trying it out yesterday, sounds very lush! the compressor and BP filter in the end gives it a beautiful tone

I didint even use the pitch shift too much, just some fine tunning, so i guess i used it more has a normal deelay, ill do more crazier experiments later

EDIT: sharing a couple of presets, ill add more to these later wen i try it again

This is your finest time based device.
It's so unique and complimentary to recent devices from others.

Thanks again.
Going to be great for outdoor work this summer.

Just donated 20.
Not much I know, but I do this because I know others who can will.
It's what makes the platform such a delight.

Been wanting to switch to UAD eventually but they have no Modular, no synths and they are"working" on MIDI CC# automation of console, their weak mixer.....

Scope rules the skies still...
