iChordz

Post by mausmuso »

I am somewhat reluctant to release this plugin as it suffers from dropped notes/chords if you are not very careful in setting it up.
Also at high tempos it gets worse!
Anyway, maybe some one out there can advise me on the best way to address the various underlying midi issues?
There is a lot of asynchronous switching going on when you change chords. This might be part of the problem?
I might do a cut down version with, say, 12 chords to see if that improves things.
I have included a pdf that sets out the features and a short midi file to test it.
The wav included was created using Vectron (7 voices) - preset 'Dream Keys'.

Yeah, I am sort of working my way through things - MIDI at the moment.
BTW, you can get hanging notes as well as it sometimes it misses notes!
Anyway hope it useful.

IChords is very nice device indeed.
in a way similar job can be done with pitch shifter dev., scope's device...

But I what I'm looking for is the opposite. To play chords on the midi controler and these to be "arrpegiated", not one note to be translated to prefixed harmonic chords.

but thanks...

... Does Mattomat do this?

this can also be done with synths of 3 oscilators...like minimax.... the osc 1 plays the tonic
osc 2 can be detuned a 4th down... and the Osc 3 can be detuned 3d(minor,Major) up..to create a basic chord... offcourse with the limit of 3 notes on a chord... which means that If we want a nice 7th or even 9th in the chord that is NOT possible..

iChords deos this as I can see...

iChords is midi consuming because you need lots of polyphony(that's normal)
pitch shifter takes the audio and transposes it...(more latancy-in some cases it can be nice)
