Y Fader was a freeware released in 2009.
Here is an update to accomodate the way some hardware or midi controllers work.

Mehdi's lag stuff is really handy for controlling the speed of Hammond B3 virtual drawbars.

However, I do not know How I can crossfade 8 channels easily, well I have my idea but it will not behave as you expect.
I think 4 channels is possible and not too complicated using the quad filter internals.
But 8 begins to be a lot of people

I keep the idea for when I have the time to try (unless some of the other device makers want to give it a go before).

with delay or threshold and range before/after change parameters for each fader ?
... but the midi steps must be smooth to avoid cracks
