Re: Sur-audio lab COS2 freeware/donationware
first of all, thank you!
next -i am lagging a bit behind with scopeportal, but do you want me to add it to the scopeportal also with a link to your email or a donate link (pay pal perhaps) ?
i think i have like 1200412412 devices from peter to add as well
Next: I must say that from my first test run, this is a very very good synth, good layout, great setup and good sound.
I do not use scope synths at all (well except noah) at the moment (not even modular), however its maturing on me more and more, and this actually got me interested. If i start using it, i will donate - that's a promise .
Anyway, great work - and again thanks for making this donate ware.

Re: Sur-audio lab COS2 freeware/donationware
Thank you guys.
COS 2 is a very interesting synth. For best usage use a sustain pedal for morph assigning. It works also with the pots assigned with midi controllers. It's very nice to use it with just a keyboard with some pots.
I use it in 96kHz but it was programmed in 48.
Presets are not very good because at that time i was exausted by the designing!
I think it can create a wide range of different sounds and the morph ability is unique.
I will be very happy if someone likes it!
Regards,
John

Presets are great and many are noticablly well with major sound variance, especially the sync and FM.
Are there more voices...?
I have a mono it seems to have a switch to poly but no poly, I just buy the original since I like this puppy.
Please tell me the original has polyphony of 6, I will have to wait for Sdk class anyway as I had a major re install nightmare on the rig that was made for this gig, so I am weeks behind for pre production rehersals which cost the management 900 USDS a night for the theaters use, I am behind in my work and sound design so this might help a little too.
We're doing punch brothers and texas swing with piano and synths, kind of weird but it might work in these parts.
Name a price...
Edit: iPhones are just too small to write with.

(Take the polyphony count up in the floating window and deselect mono ... Unison voices are counted in the polyphony ...
Re: Sur-audio lab COS2 freeware/donationware
I read the manual and nowhere in it is there a floating window spoken of for polyphony.
I totally believe you but I am really a moron with chops, nothing more.
Some hints would be most appreciated as even the electric pianos are mono.
Love the sounds of this synth......

You can change the amount of voices normally through the live bar.
You are right i forgotten to mention in the manual

Fra my brotha',
I never thought to raise the poly in the live bar.
Now you know why lessons are important for me.
9 years of Scope cards galore and the XITE-1 and still, I am feeble at times.
Gonna have me some fun tonight thanks.
Donation on May 1st from me.........

The Wavetable LFO Modulations are beautiful.
Very impressed with this.
I was Bowen-ated and believed nobody could get inventive great sounding synths.
Boy I was sure wrong.
Beautiful Tradecraft indeed.

Speaking of the LFOs - is there no way to set them to BPM ?
(Or get a read on their timing setting - e.g. ms or Hz ?)

Re: Sur-audio lab COS2 freeware/donationware
Sorry man, no synced lfo's on this one. And unfortunately no frequency indicators. The best you can do i suppose is to keysync the lfo's and then apply some morphing to the lfo's rate. You will get syncronized lfo timbres that way.
Re: Sur-audio lab COS2 freeware/donationware
Sur Audio no longer developing? Notice you're no longer in the shop. In fact there seems to be only two developers left in the shop not counting spacef who certainly isn't developing right now.

He's busier than ever, lots of great little charms like the modular EQ WITH 0 MSEC. sLOPE FOR SNAPPING TURTLE AND MIGHTY INVERTED bpf CHIRPS.
