This is unique and very different from S|C Chaos. Thanks to SAL again for such great
new tricks.
Modular is going to get a workout as I have a week off.
Also will be designing a Eurorack with Wheel Electronic Doepfer and Livid Elements to bring even new controls to use live.
I got so use to the hard ware MIDI to PCIe connectivity and stability, no stuck notes with the BCF 2000, that I decided control must expand. Will share the designa nad associated costs after Christmas.
But the forum is alive with a buzz lately, it's so nice and appropriately timed.

Thanks

Very nice those random and trigger buttons.
Here 2 of them through a wave terrain module:

@ JLS

It works?

Strange... It is made in 5.1 sdk

Please confirm so i'll try to figure out what makes the incompatibility... My 4.0 system is in its death throes. (motherboard)

I will provide an updated module by next week, with smooth changing between fm sounds. I'll put a freq and a gate input in that.

@ Roland

I test that right away. I really liked some terrain synthesis sounds you've made and wondered how to create something similar.
Any idea what are the internal workings of a terrain synthesis algo? or should i google that?

Working but when loaded produce error message. When save patch knob position not saved.

terrain synthesis is a c-sound opcode its in the c-sound book

and theirs a download pdf available that has a section on this 3d wavetable synthesis method with pictures

available from the c-sound website

Thanks, i 've downloaded csound source, pdf (3000+ pages) and some articles. In the modular's terrain module the offset is heard like a dc signal. As i read i have to make the sin and the cos function of the input signals and multiply these together. I'm not sure. I have to study that form of synthesis further.

John

on the c-sound you have 2 wavetables in a look up table

1 for x- axis and 1 for y-axis

now when you modulate the tables it reads both x-axis ftable and the position of the y-axis ftable and interpolates the 2 to get a z -axis table this is your wave terrain

you can create ftables from single cycle spectra fft additive waves in c-sound
